Pi algebra value
Introduction :
Pi is also one of the significant chapter in algebra. The algebra pi value is denoted in math as `22/7` or `3.14`. Using these values we can simply determine the answer for complex problems in algebra. We have different types of problems using pi in algebra. Generally the pi formulas are used to find area or volume of the specific shape in algebra. Here we are going to learn some problems using value of pie in algebra. The symbol of pi is given as ∏.
Example problems of pi in algebra:
Example 1:
Find the area of a circle with radius 5.5 cm?
Solution:
Step 1: Area of a circle = pi* radius2.
Step 2: We know that radius = 5.5 cm.
Step 3: Substitute the radius value in to the formula.
Step 4: Therefore, Area of a circle = 3.14 *5.5 *5.5.
Step 5: So, we get 94.985 cm2.
Example 2:
Find the volume of cone with radius 7.5 m and height 5 m?
Solution:
Step 1: Volume of a cone = `1/3xx pixx radius^2 xxheight` .
Step 2: We know that the, radius = 7.5 m and height 5 m.
Step 3: Substitute the radius and height value in to the formula.
Step 4: Therefore, the volume of a cone is = 1/3 *3.14*7.5*7.5 *5.
Step 5: After simplification, we get 294.375 m3.
Example 3:
Find the volume of ellipsoid with radius 3cm, 3.5 cm and 4 cm?
Solution:
Step 1: Volume of ellipsoid is 4/3 *pi*radius 1*radius 2*radius3.
Step 2: We already know that, radius = 3cm, 3.5 cm and 4cm
Step 3: Plug the radius value in to the formula.
Step 4: Therefore, the volume of ellipsoid is = 4/3 *3.14*3*3.5*4.
Step 5: After simplification, we get 175.84 m3.
Pi value formulas used in math:
Perimeter of a circle is 2 * pi * radius.
Area of circle is given as Pi * radius 2.
Area of ellipse is Pi *radius1 *radius 2.
Surface area of sphere is 4*pi* radius 2.
Surface area of cylinder is given as 2 * pi *radius *height.
Surface area of cone is pi* radius* side.
Surface area of torus is pi2 * (radius2 2 –radius12).
Volume of sphere is 4/3 *pi*radius 3.
Volume of ellipsoid is 4/3 *pi*radius 1*radius 2*radius3.
Volume of Cylinder Formula is pi*radius*height.
Volume of cone is given as 1/3 * pi* radius 2 *height.
Volume of torus is ¼ * pi^2 *(radius1 + radius2) *(radius1-radius2)^2
Volume of hemisphere is (2/3) pi r^3.
These are the formulas define in math.
